Funeral Costs & Funeral Payment Plans

We will talk everything through with you thoroughly and offer a free consultation with no obligation for both funerals and our funeral plans to discuss your choices and advise you of each of the costs payable for the different options.

Our Funeral Costs

We offer flexibility to tailor our pricing very much to the family's requirements or to reflect the instructions or wishes left by the person who has died.

A funeral cost will vary according to the location, type of funeral service, transport, type of casket, funeral director fees, and any extras such as flowers and catering for the wake. The final price of a funeral will ultimately depend on the arrangements you choose to make. After we've made the funeral arrangements with you, we'll give you a full breakdown of costs, so you'll know what you're going to pay.

Funeral costs comprise of two parts, the Funeral Director fees and other third party fees called 'Disbursements'. These third-party fees are paid on your behalf by the Funeral Director.

Advantages of a Prepayment Plan

Many people wish to provide for their funeral expenses and a funeral prepayment plan is a caring, sensible and cost-effective way to do so.

The advantage of a prepayment plan over a savings account or life insurance policy is that you can secure the cost of our professional funeral directing services in advance. Once your plan is in place, as long as we carry out your funeral and your requirements don’t change, these services are covered, no matter when the service might be required. You can also make a contribution to third party costs which are outside of our control and cannot be guaranteed.

Funeral prepayment plans are provided by Ecclesiastical Planning Services in association with a network of Funeral Directors throughout the UK. Funeral prepayments are held in guaranteed whole of life assurance policies and every penny (minus the initial management fee) is ring-fenced for your funeral. When your plan is needed, the money is released to us immediately, enabling us to carry out your funeral.

You can choose your own funeral arrangements, for your own peace of mind

You will save your family from having to make many difficult decisions, trying to guess what you would have wanted, at such a distressing time.

You can choose from a range of set plans or a personalised plan with every detail exactly as you want it.
  • Make financial provision for your funeral.

  • Financial security – the funeral plan pre-payment is held in a whole of life assurance policy until it is needed.

  • The service will be provided by your local Funeral Director.

  • Anyone aged 18 or over can purchase a funeral plan - there is no upper age limit and there are no awkward health questions.

  • You can make a lump-sum payment or pay by monthly instalments, whichever suits you.

All enquiries and arrangements are treated in confidence.
